John F. Kennedy was the thirty-fifth president of the United States and was the third president of the United States to be assassinated. Kennedy was killed on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas at 12:30 P.M. CST) in Dealey Plaza. Kennedy was fatally shot while riding in an open presidential motorcade. After a ten month investigation of the United States House Select Committee on the assassinations and other government concluded that the president was assassinated by Lee Harvey Oswald. Today the Kennedy assassination is still the subject of widespread debate and has spawned numerous conspiracy theories and alternative scenarios.
